Hassles In Getting A Student Visa

Being able to study abroad is definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity.  Thus, it is something that any student wouldn't want to pass and would certainly grab eagerly. And one country where most students flock to is Australia. However, just like in any other country, there are instances that can cause students to actually give this one up, much to their disappointment.

One rather disheartening way that this can happen is when your application of travel visa to Australia gets rejected. This can be quite frustrating, especially considering all the preparations that you have done for it. There are actually many reasons that can cause your student visa application to be rejected. And you need to be familiar with these in order to be prepared and avoid getting your visa request rejected.

By far, the most common reason that a student immigration to Australia gets rejected is because of insufficient funds. For those not familiar, student visa applicants are required to submit information regarding their capabilities to support their studies financially. This one can be quite troublesome as there is actually no set rules to determine how much is considered by embassies to be sufficient.

However, one thing that you can note is that the amount of funds that you will require will depend on the actual cost of studying there. These include major expenses, like tuition fees and books, as well board and lodging (in case you are going to live in-campus). Note that these will depend on the school you are going to enter. It would be a good idea to first get information from the school on how much the expenses will be in order for you to determine if it will fit in your finances.

Another common way that a student immigration to Australia is not granted is poor academic records. This is more prominent to those seeking higher education, though other students can also be affected. It is quite easy to solve this one, as you will already know if you are qualified for studying abroad based on the results of your application on the school. In case the embassy is still not impressed with you r qualification, then you might need to present additional documents and present people, such as your former teachers, who can attest for your academic standing.

Visa applications can be also rejected on the grounds of alleged lack of interest to study there. This, of course, might be because you don't really intend to study. In some cases, however, this might be due to some misunderstanding on the consul's part. What you can do is to request for further explanation on why your application was rejected based on this ground. Often, the consul will be giving and tell you the reason, you can then give out your own reason as to why they should not reject your application.

Another not so uncommon reason is that you might have obligations to fulfill back in your home country. This one can be quite a problem for government sponsored scholars, who are often required to render service to their country for several years after graduation. In case you do come in with this one, you can make arrangements with your home country's government to allow you to travel in exchange for other compensation.

Things To Remember When Getting A Student Visa

Getting the chance to study abroad is definitely one opportunity you wouldn't want to miss, especially if it's in Australia. However, even before you get to open your textbooks there, you will actually need to go through one more test. And this one is getting your student's visa.

Just like applying for other types of visa for Australia, obtaining your student visa can be quite hard. And in some cases, the process can actually be more difficult than applying for a work permit. However, if you know how to do the whole application correctly, then you can easily brush through the whole process quickly.

The process begins with you getting the documents that you will be needing. The most important of this is, of course, the acceptance letter coming the school you are applying for. Thus, you should actually have received this prior to applying for any visa. Take note that you should have a written acceptance letter with you, verbal communications are not honored by any embassy. In case, the letter was sent via email, verify first that it indeed came from the school, before presenting a printed copy to the embassy.

You also need to secured other school related documents, like transcripts of records and diplomas. Note that these can take quite some time, at least one to two weeks for most, so be sure that you set an ample amount of time for procuring them. In some cases, the embassy might also require you to present bank accounts as proof that you can finance your studies, these you can easily get so you don't really need to rush them.

Also, don't forget other miscellaneous documents like medical exams, police records and tax returns. One important tip here is to gather everything you need before actually apply for a visa, to avoid having to get them later and delay your application.

Once you have filed the application, then you need to prepare for the next part, the interview.

The interview is actually the make or break part of getting your student visa. Any mistake here can seriously hamper your visa approval. In the worst cases, it can actually derail your whole whole chance of studying abroad away.

Thus, you need to be aware of the possible ways that the interview will go. There is actually no exact way here, but there are some important points that are likely to come up. One of the most important of these is your knowledge of the school you are going to and the course you are going to take. The consul might even go further and ask you about your future plans and how the course you are going to take would fit in with these. If you are really sure about the study you are going to undertake, then you can answer these positively. Also, the consul is likely to ask whether you are coming back after your study. Unless you are planning something else, you need not to worry in answering this.

After going through the whole thing, you can then heave a sigh of relief once your visa is granted. By then, you can look forward to your studies.

Getting A Shot At Studying In Australia

One of the best things that can come by to any student is to be given a chance to study Abroad. This will surely open up plenty of opportunities for lucky ones. Thus, it is definitely  a once in a lifetime chance that any student wouldn't want to pass.

And one of the countries that foreign students flock to yearly is Australia. And for a good reason, as the country has plenty of good schools and universities that you can enroll in. Besides, the Australian environment can be very conducive for studying.

So how can you get a shot at studying in Australia?

First, of course, you need something to study. As have been said, there are many courses available for foreign students in the country. Currently the most common ones taken by foreigners are post graduate courses in the universities. There are also those that go to the country to pursue a second (or in some cases, even a third) degree, it is not uncommon for students to take up courses totally unrelated to their first degree.

Exchange programs are another way that one can go to study in Australia. There are two ways that you can participate in student exchanges: either you voluntarily register for the program, or you are selected for it, even without registering. Exchange student programs usually last from at least a few weeks to six months at most, though there are programs that can go for a year or so.

Another way that is becoming popular with foreign students recently is to take up short technical courses. These can last from about a month to six months. The list of technical courses that one can take is quite long, ranging from practical areas like carpentry and electronics to music and the arts. English language courses are also some of the most popular areas for foreign students to study in.

It is actually quite easy to apply for these academic studies. All you have to do is to secure application forms, these are available at the schools offering the programs. Online forms are also another way to go, these are especially useful for applicants who live too far away, say overseas, to secure paper forms. Some programs don't require application forms at all and simply direct prospective students to simple apply at their office directly, though those offering this option are quite limited.

Whatever way you choose to apply for, remember to keep your acceptance letter. This is very important for securing the student visa that you need for travel. Also, be sure that you get other necessary documents for visa application, like school records, medical exams and other legal documents. Also note that you will often be required to present proof that you can spend for your studies, so it would also be a good idea to get your bank accounts even before you actually apply for the visa, to avoid all the hassles.

Once you have gotten your travel visa to Australia. student visa to be specific, then it's time to go down south. And when you're there, you will definitely make the most out of your studies.

Securing A Job In Australia

Australia is currently experiencing a large demand in skilled workers. Because of this, the country hires thousands of people yearly. This makes applying for working visa for Australia a very good idea. However, going to the country for work isn't going to be very easy.

For one getting a Australia skilled visa can be quite grueling. The process is rather long, and there are plenty of things that you need to do in order to secure one. However, you can make sure that you will get hire if you know how to do whole process well.

The first important thing that you need to have in order to qualify as a migrant worker in Australia is a job order. Job orders are basically documents stating that there is indeed a need for the particular job in the market. They are either issued for general job demands or for individual requests by employers. An applicant can view the current job order by requesting it from the company he is planning to apply for.

Once you have secured a job order, then you can now apply for the job. This goes pretty much the same as with applying for any other jobs. However, you should note the requirements of visas. Some companies process the applications even with out visas, those qualified for the job are then allowed to just get their visas afterward. However, there are also employers that require a copy of the visa to be submitted during the application process. One way that you can avoid having to deal with this one is to secure a visa even before you actually apply for a job.

Getting a working visa will be the hardest part of trying to get work abroad. Here, you will have two choices: either you get a permanent visa or a temporary one. Your choice actually depends on the type of job you are applying for. Longer work (those spanning several years) will require you to secure a permanent visa, on the other hand, temporary visas are suitable for short contracts. You can upgrade the temporary visa to a permanent one later, in case you get longer work.

During the visa application, you will be required to present proof of the work you are applying for. Here, you can present your acceptance letter, if you have been selected for the job, or the job order, in case the job application process is still ongoing. You might also need to present skills assessment results in order to convince the embassy that you are indeed qualified. One thing that you need to definitely have is English proficiency. You can get English proficiency exams almost anywhere, so it won't be much of a problem.

Once you have secured the job and the visa, then it's time to wrap up before your flight. Don't forget to fix minor details, such as medical examinations and hotel accommodations in order to be sure that everything goes well before you leave.

Financial Consideration when Thinking of Traveling to Australia

Traveling to a foreign country, like the Land of Oz, is something that you should plan, prioritizing time and money. There are so many things that ask for money. Like when you start applying for a visa, getting an immigration service to Australia, traveling around the country within the given period, food, accommodation and of course, souvenirs and presents. But for sure, it is all worth it once you experienced the atmosphere of an Australian life. The only thing that will thwart your visit is when you overlooked the expected expenses included on your stay. The best thing to do is make a plan of your immigration to Australia like it is something that can only happen once in a blue moon.

First thing that you should include in your budget is the application of your visa. There are fees that you have to pay for, documents, assessments and also health checks. We can't foretell the exact amount of money because it fluctuates, depending on the progress of your application. You also have to worry about your transportation expenses, especially when you are having trouble with your visa. You may need to walk in and out of the embassy because of a troubled application process. You must expect this situation to lessen your disappointments. If you failed, at least you have expected the worst, if you succeed, congratulations. To assure a well-executed Australian visa application, you need to hire a migration agent. They are experts who have efficient knowledge about legal immigration process. Many people tried them, and they all agreed that getting an agent as a partner is more convenient than doing the process alone.

Next thing you have to pay for is the airfare. Of course this is automatic. The only way to get to Australia is by plane. You can either use class A or B section, depending on what you can afford.

Once you arrive in the country, that is when the journey starts. If you have relatives waiting for you, that would be a chance to save money. But if you don't have one, you better hire a cab, riding public transportation like buses and trains is so stressful, especially if you've got a bunch of loads. When it comes to accommodation, there are so many cheap hotels in different cities in Australia. It is better if you will find one near your prospect tourist spot. You can also rent houses where appliances like stoves, refrigerators and televisions are offered free. When you feel hungry, you can try restaurants that offer cheap and delicious delicacies. In Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane, there are so many establishments specializing on specific foreign dishes like Italian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, French and so forth.

Going back home, of course, you have to buy a souvenir for your friends, or for yourself. Mesmerizing is the best if there is something that will remind you how wonderful the experience is.

Tips on Finding a Sponsored Job in Australia

Finding a work in Australia is somewhat hard and tiring. It takes time before arriving to an employment that is exactly what you are looking for or something that fits your skills or qualification. But if you are lucky, you can be sponsored by an Australian employer wherein all you have to do is process your visa and immigration to Australia. Are you wondering how someone gets a sponsored job? Of course it is not by lottery, you don't need couples of Australian dollars to get a job. It is something you need to work for. You should possess the skills that can satisfy an Australian employer.

Usually, sponsored skilled immigrants found their job after being recommended by a friend, relative or by the agency. Another options is by the Employer Nomination Scheme. With this one, a specialist migration company will help you find a job by matching up your set of qualifications and skills to a recruiter who is willing to recruit someone from overseas. But if you fail on the two methods, you can still find a sponsor by yourself. This may take time but definitely an effective way to pursue an Australian career.

First thing to do is make a research of Australian companies you would like to work for. There are a lot of them who are willing to sponsor a skilled worker from overseas. You can find them on the internet. Through Yahoo Companies Directory, you can find companies being categorized to make the results more comprehensive. The more companies you find, the better.

Then after getting the list, narrow them down by choosing the companies that interests you. You must consider your employment experience, educational background and age. But most important of all, make sure that you meet the skill requirements asked by the employer.

Contact all of them, going about their job vacancies. After that, send your resumé to each companies. Make sure that sure that it is neat and surrender all the true and necessary information. Most of the companies may hang your application so you better follow them up from time to time. Establish a connection between you and the company to create a better chance of getting hired.

Or to make the hunt easier, you can find a company that have branches both in Australia and your home country. Ask if they are offering transfer opportunities. This is one of the easiest way because this gives you a direct contract with the employer. This may require you to work with them for a certain period before you become eligible of getting transferred to Australia. But this is better because you have invested your skills and bought their trust.

And if you successfully get a job, apply for a visa. Be specific because an Australia skilled visa is divided into subclasses. Sponsored skilled immigrants have their own type of visa. You can learn more of this by consulting an expert migration agent.

Why is Australia One of the Most Livable Country?

No doubt, the island down south, if not the best, is one of the world's most livable country. Every year, the number of people applying for immigration to Australia  increases. It is not just the tourist spots that attracts traveler, the kind of life that the country offers is also very inviting. The Land of Oz has an atmosphere of a life that is of good quality. And as you go on with your Australian life, there are a lot of things that you will discover.

First of all, Australia is a very big island. In terms of area, it is the world's six largest. But despite its huge size, the population is quite small. As of this year, the country only has more than 22 million people. Living down under is expected to be less rowdy. If you want to stay away from a big crowd, then maybe you are thinking of Australia. There are also relaxing spots where you can send yourself ever you want to. The life that is ahead of you if you pursue a visa for Australia is more peaceful as compared to United States or many European countries. For sure, you find a good place in one of the eight states Australia has.

Another admirable thing about Australia is the vast list of employment opportunities. A skilled immigrant has higher chances of getting hired because the government prioritize the skilled visa in their immigration sector. People whose aim is to land a job in Australia is the government's major concern so they can fill their shortage. Many Australian companies are looking for foreign workers because they think they are more capable to get the job done. And once you end up with a job, you can expect a competitive salary, which can grew bigger in the long run, depending on your performance.

Renting or owning a property is very easy and affordable. As we all know, immigration is on its high, so the demand for property also increases. This makes the competition among real estate a little less tighter. Prices are lower if you are to compare it in other countries. Houses are also offered, even to immigrants in a long term payment. This is advantageous especially for the ones owning an Australia permanent visa. When they want to stay to the country for good, they will have a home that can call their own.

Living down under is like being on a year-long party. No, let us make it a forever-party. Aussies are friendly and jolly. They like it more when their environment is happy and outgoing. Actually, Australian is one of the heaviest drinker in the world. You may inherit it but it still depends on you. The country is also a large sporting nation and admires their own entertainment. They always go to different arenas to cheer for their bets on different sports like cricket, swimming, football, rugby and a lot more.

Taking The Trails

One of the best ways that you can spend your making the most out of your travel visa to Australia is by traveling there on foot. And the country definitely has plenty of places that you can explore this way. And it is definitely going to be an interesting experience, since you have a great deal of freedom in exploring.

Long distance trails are perhaps the most exciting ways that you can go when exploring Australia in this manner. And luckily, the country has plenty of them spanning across its vast lands. And one of the most popular of these trails is the Bibbulmun trail in Western Australia.

The Bibbulmun track is, in fact, the longest spanning trail in Australia, going for around a thousand kilometers in length. It runs from Kalamunda, just east of Perth, all the way to Albany. It consists of fifty sections, with each section being a day's worth of walk. This means that you will be able to complete the whole track within two to three months, though you can actually take as little longer, depending on your desired pace. You can also have the option of doing only a small section of the whole trail if you feel you can complete the whole of it.

Being near Perth, the trail is quite accessible. There are plenty of bus services that will take you to the starting point regularly. This is also the same if you plan to begin from Albany. However, once you arrived at the starting point, all you can do is really walk, as no vehicles, motorized or human powered are allowed on the trail. If you want, you can go on a bicycle trail, the Munda Biddi Trail which runs parallel to it, though the bike ride leads only up to Collie.

The trail will take you through several state forests and large expanses of desert regions. Thus you need to take plenty of water with you, as it usually available only in the stopover points and camps that are spread out throughout the trail. It would be a good idea if you know how to extract water from natural  sources just in case you are too far off from a resupply point. Also be ready with proper clothing, as it can be quite hot during the summer months. A good time to start your journey is during September, where the temperature is just right.

As have been said, resupply points are scattered around the trail. Campsites are the most common resting places that you will find here. Don't expect to find some resort houses here though, as the campsites only provide rather spartan living facilities, often only with a small bed. If you do want to have better accommodations, it would be a good idea to book them on the towns that you will come across, like North Bannister and Mumballup.

Don't worry though, since this hard trip will be rewarded by the many interesting sites that you will see along the way. The Murray River is one such a sight. Also, you will see plenty of unique creatures, especially when you take to the coast. These will certainly make the whole trip worthwhile.

Plan Your Working Holiday Trip

One of the best things that you can do if you plan to go on a vacation abroad is to go on a working holiday in Australia. The country is plenty of interesting places to go to, and going on a working holiday means that you can earn at least some cash while enjoying yourself. Thus, it definitely is a must to try.

However, you might still be confused as to how you would set everything up. Indeed, getting yourself a working holiday vacation would require putting in some legwork. And so, here's a guide on how you can come up with a decent vacation trip.

The first thing that you need to do is, of course, get a travel visa to Australia, working holiday visa to be specific. This can be quite easy, as you can lodge your visa application online through may visa processing sites. You also don't need to be present during processing though you might still be called by the embassy for certain matters. One thing that they would likely want to clear with you is whether you really are going to Australia only for vacation. A small amount of persuasion will definitely convince the consul. You will also need to present proof that you have the money to spent for at least half of the entire trip (at least $5000).

Once you have your visa with you, then it's time to plan the whole trip. There are plenty of travel packages that you can purchase online, or you can have a travel agent arrange on for you. There are also many budget packages available for you to try.

And here's and even more interesting tip for you: why not simply ditch the travel package and go on the trip as you wish? Considering the length of time of the whole vacation (the working holiday visa grants you a stay of one year, which you extend for another year), then your travel package's itinerary will most likely be completed even before you get to half your intended stay.

And so, instead of being bored and with nothing else to do, you can use the time to explore the country in a more carefree manner. This actually is a very interesting thing to do since you get to see more sites outside the usual list of attractions that travel packages offer. You will also get to interact with the local people in this manner, and will also get to do some pretty odd things.

And this is where the working part of the working holiday can come in quite handy. Working will give you additional money for use in your trips. And here's a very useful tip: you can actually work to cut down on you accommodation expenses. For example, if you are working in a hotel, you can actually make arrangements to have your pay turned into accommodations instead. One thing that you need to keep in mind though is that you can only work part time when in a working holiday visa, so don't expect your salary to be that big.

Nevertheless, going on a working holiday trip is still a good way to spend your vacation. And once you get back, you will surely have many interesting stories to share with people at home.

Avoiding Illegal Recruiters

Considering the many people that line up each year in Australian embassies to get working visa Australia is offering, you could say that the country definitely attracts a lot of foreign workers. However, that mass of people attracts another group wanting to take advantage of the situation. Illegal recruiters are sure to swarm down on the unknowing crowd to take victims.

Just like any other people, those looking for a job in Australia are prime targets for illegal recruiters. And being a victim of illegal recruiters is certainly not a good scenario. Thus, you should know how to avoid illegal recruiters at all cost.

Unlike other immigration scams, illegal recruitment schemes can be very elaborate. Some will even have offices and documents to prove that they are indeed in operation. Some would even go as far as secure permits from government agencies. This can make differentiating between legitimate recruiters and fraudulent ones quite difficult.

However, there are plenty of tell tale signs that can give a clue on whether the recruitment agency you are applying is real or not. Spotting this clues can be very vital if you want to avoid being duped by them. So remember to keep your eyes open during your transactions with the agency.

The first clear sign that something fishy might be going on in your recruitment agency is if they do not issue a receipt in all of their transactions. It is important to note that all recruitment agencies required by law to issue receipts to their clients, don't rush in though, as it might be just a little oversight on their part. Do take note of how frequently it happens though, if it happens in all of your transactions then you have reasons to doubt the agency.

Another particular thing that you need to check if there are any, is the actual job order. Often, some recruiters would say that the job order is still being processed. Don't fall it for this excused, as this is a common one used by illegal recruiters to convince you. The truth is, since there is still no job order officially released (they said that it is still being processed), then, you technically have no job to apply for.

One sure sign that the agency handling your application is indeed fraudulent is if the people there claim that you don't need to go to the labor department, and that they will be the ones handling your papers there. The truth is, this is quite far from happening. In reality, you are actually required to appear in person to secure necessary documents from the labor department or any other government agency.

Last, but not the least important, sign that you need to watch out for are excessive fees. Often, they would simply say that these are additional processing fees. Bear in mind that you are only required to pay the placement fees specified by the labor department. Any additional amount is considered illegal.

Remember also that the single best way that you can avoid being a victim of illegal recruiters is to sign up with one officially endorsed by the labor department.

Safety and Security of International Students in Australia

Everyone who succeed with their immigration to Australia is treated a child of the government, especially the student immigrants. The country is committed in providing protection to young visitors whose only aim is to get a quality education, to secure a brighter future. Students responsibility is on their schools or universities, and when it comes to their security, it is a job for the government and several institutions. Even if their stay is just for a short while, the government treats them as its own. From the preparation up to the flight, arrival to departure, an international student is kept safe through the services offered by the immigration department and privileges given by the universities.

First of the many priorities by the government with regards to international student is to reduce racist acts. Although there are only few cases of this, it is still a big concern for the government. The governments is addressing this problems by increasing awareness among native Australians. This is done by vigorously displaying on TV shows, news and other forms the contribution of the student immigrants on their economy. There are also activities that aims to establish better connection between different cultures. The cultural ethics of Australia states that the country is multicultural and allows any religion as long as it doesn't violates any government law. Yet, a resolution is already passed that puts heavier weight on punishment for people who racially discriminate others. Another issues that international students is dragged is the lost of employment for original Australian citizens. They are complaining that immigrants steal their job. The government responds to this by putting restrictions on their skilled migration policies. If you are an international students, and there are attacks on you, physically or culturally, you can call the police on your mobile phone by the numbers 000. This transaction is free of charges.

Accommodation is one of the newest problem the “new” immigrants will face. The competition to get a decent place where one can stay has become tighter. This is after a sudden shortage in housings and large increase on the prices. The actual number of students who suffered from exploitative or illegal rental practices is unknown, but before it become a major concern, several steps has been passed. Every education provider is required under state and/or Commonwealth government legislation to make available affordable accommodation to all new international students for the first 12 months of their education in Australia. Government provide increased funding to service providers for accommodation and housing to ensure international students have adequate information on housing rights, responsibilities and recourse.

If you have concerns on your study, safety, accommodation or in you part-time work, you can call 1300 363 079 - Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm. This is a hotline provide for international students by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).

The Official Tourist Season in Australia

Tourism in Australia is on its peak starting April or May up to October. It is the country's official tourist season. This is the period when tourist visa for Australia is on greater demand. For some reasons, this has become the right time for visitors to come and find the best form of relaxation in different states. Although it is advisable to travel in anytime of the year, to go down under is the best every April because it is the start of the dry season. It is the autumn to spring season in Australia.

April is the time that Australia walks away from the wet season. Staying outside won't give too much trouble because of the fine weather. Exploring the country at this time of the year would be very enjoyable. Seasons in the country varies not by the temperatures but by the precipitation, that is why even if it is summer out there, the whole environment tends to be wet during the summer period. Wet season is from November to early weeks of April, Dry season is from the later weeks of the fourth month until October. Of course, it is not right to travel during wet days. There maybe heavy downpours or raging storms on that period, most especially on the north coast. Driving around is best done during dry season since the highways and roads are much safer. Tourists can stay away from trip hassles like floods, mud and slippery roads.

If you will try to cherish that 6-month stay in Australia, you can experience the three seasons in Australia. Autumn starts in March and ends in May, that means two months of nice vacation. Winter is from June to August and Spring is from September to November.

Between April and October, the Great Barrier Reef is on its clearest, making it more appropriate to go scuba diving or snorkeling. There is a greater chance to see underworld wonders the closest that you can. Beaches in many states in Australia are usually crowded and super heated from December to February since it is summer in the whole country. Students and other Australians are on vacation before another school year starts on February. You can avoid this scenario by traveling down south during autumn.

From June to September, which is the winter season, skiing is what most people usually do. They hike mountains of Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania and enjoy all the moments around a world of ice.

Spring is the most desirable season in Australia. The weather is neither too hot nor too cold but not quite beach weather in southern states. This is the time when most flower festival are celebrated. You can join the Floriade in Canberra from September to October) or Perth Wildflower Festival from September 1 to 28. Other flower festivals are the Bowral Tulip Time Festival from September to October, wildflower season in Victoria and Toowoomba in Queensland both in September.

To do this, you should consider the climate in each region. What disappoints our overseas visit is the weather. No matter how intensified our want is, we can't go on because of the undesirable weather. So, to make our trip delightful, let us schedule our trip with the Australian climate as the first priority.

There are several types of climate in Australia that varies on each state. In the north, it can be hot and tropical, Melbourne has a Mediterranean climate, Tasmania is temperate. If it is winter in North America and Europe, it is summer down south. Snow also fall in the mountains of Victoria, Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales and Tasmania. Often times, snow also fall in South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland.

In the Australian Capital Territory, you can experience four distinct seasons the entire year. Queensland is also very inviting during winter seasons, that is from May to October. Other places in Queensland like Cairns and Great Barrier Reef can also experience heavy rainfall from January to March. It is better to avoid the summer months of this state because it is the wet season but its hot, and unpleasant.

What is Forced Migration?

Even if you've got a visa for Australia, you are not exempted of the countries apprehension on the violation of immigration policy and the Australian law itself. Immigrants who do not know the nature of Australian living, even in other states, are forcibly sent to some place wherein they will have time to think about their mistakes. This is for majority's sake. Aware of it or not, you'll be subjected for forced migration because before you enter the country, you are already informed about the right way of emigrating. But not all forced migration serves as a punishment, some are forms of rescue. Like when a community is on the verge of environmental disasters, chemical or nuclear disasters, famine or development projects.

Forced migration refers to the act of moving person or persons away from their original home. It is usually associated with violent actions because of the term “forced displacement”. The term used for people being moved is “displaced person”. Population transfer is a specific form of forced migration wherein settlers that are being moved are the unwanted ones. This action is called ethnic cleansing. The term that has come to be used broadly to describe all forms of ethnically-motivated violence, ranging from murder, rape, and torture to the forcible removal of populations. The study of forced migration is multidisciplinary, international, and multisectoral, incorporating academic, practitioner, agency and local perspectives.

There are three types of forced migration, first is the Conflict-Induced Displacement. These are people being forced to move after being situated in any armed conflict including civil war, generalized violence and persecution on the grounds of nationality, race, religion, political opinion or social group. These displaced people will go across other nation's borders in search of refuge. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has the responsibility of providing protection and assistance to refugees.

The second type is the Development-Induced Displacement. People involved in this are the ones who are compelled to move because of the policies and projects implemented to prioritized more the so called “development”. Good examples of this are large-scale infrastructure projects such as dams, roads, ports, airports; urban clearance initiatives; mining and deforestation; and the introduction of conservation parks/reserves and biosphere projects. Affected settlers are sent just within the borders of their home country.

Disaster-Induced Displacement is the third type. Because of the unavoidable massive disasters, people are left with no choice but to move away from their residences. There are three ways the people can undergone such type of displacement. First is the environmental devastation like floods, volcanoes, landslides, large bushfire and earthquakes. Next is when there is a major environmental change, this includes deforestation, desertification, land degradation and global warming. Thirdly are the human-made disasters like industrial accidents and radioactivity. >From the three types, disaster is the hardest one to address since it involves greater loss of living and properties.

What Is Dual Citizenship

Wanting to travel into another country for good will technically make you lose your original citizenship. But there are ways that you can retain it while enjoying your new life. Like in Australia, the government imposed a law that lets immigrants become citizen of two states, both at the same time. People who undertake initial and legal immigration to Australia  are allowed to cherish both his/her new and former country.

Dual citizenship or multiple citizenship is the term used to define this. It is the legal status of person in which he/she is a recognized citizen under more than one state. This is due to different countries using different requirements on the citizenship. There are countries that condemn multiple citizenship. They consider it undesirable. And so, as part of their citizenship laws, once a person applied for another citizenship, he/she will automatically lose his/her original citizenship. Malaysia, China, Denmark, Singapore and other Asian nations are good example of nations that practice this rule.

In contrary with that, other countries, like Australia, has been taking progressive steps so a multiple citizenship will be permitted. This started in the Land of Oz way back in 2002. They regard multiple citizenship as a positive issue because it is a room for better opportunities for their citizen to get exposed in the global market or competition.

Multiple citizenship goes this way. If a person born in Spain, moved to Canada and was naturalized, then got married to a British who was moved and naturalized in Australia. They got married, lived and have a child in United States. The kid can obtain multiple citizenship or passports, United States (by birth), Canada (from father), Spain (from father), Australia and UK (both from mother).

One of the advantages of multiple citizenship is that it gives you the right to establish residence, to work, own some properties, get education, acquire some social and medical services and a lot more. But still, it is accompanied by some inevitable responsibilities and obligations. This is because in all countries, a citizen should take part and make contribution on the country's economy, social, environment and politics.

One of the biggest problems that a multiple citizenship applicant will face is the taxation. Being a dual citizen carries so much weight when it comes to your responsibility to both countries. If you're not able to comply with your tax liability, then you will be considered as a tax evader. Let us just set it this way, if you are holding both Australian and American citizenship but lives and work in Australia, you are subjected for taxation in both countries, especially in Australia because it is an Australian's responsibility. However, you can give it a shot to lessen your tax burdens because there are states that have contract treaties that are trying to avoid double taxation.
